A Short Story About Blue Cord Dumpster Rental

We started our REO (bank-owned) property preservation company in Spring Hill, KS. 2012 cleaning out foreclosed homes. We rented dumpsters, cleaned hoarder houses, and some scary vacant homes. We have seen a lot of nasty things.

After the housing bubble began to recover, C-19 hit in 2020. That forced us to mainly focus on junk removal. We also began renting our dumpster out.

Humble Beginnings

Who We Are Now

As the kids grew older and moved out, I no longer had the muscle power for a two-person junk removal. The only thing to do was to expand the dumpster rental business.

We've always had the highest level of integrity. So, I carried the Blue Cord name into the dumpster rental business. Although we are still Blue Cord REO Preservation, We continue to do business as Blue Cord Dumpster Rental.

What Does Blue Cord Mean?

The phrase "Blue Cord" has its roots in many things.

• US Military Infantry - wears a blue cord over the shoulder as a symbol of pride for completing training.

• Academia - blue honor cords denote specific academic achievements, leadership, or fields of study.

• Faith-Based - As commanded in Numbers 15:38-39, a blue cord was woven into the corner tassels (tzitzit) of garments to serve as a reminder to keep and follow the commandments as a sacred covenant.

• Blue Ribbons - Many Prizes are awarded for the best-in-show from animals to foods- to many ice-cream brands and others.

• Police - Of course we can't forget our men and women in Blue. I don't think I need to explain this one.

• Our Beautiful American Flag - loyalty, justice, and perseverance.

• Our Motto - From the start of our company and into the future, by the beautiful thread that binds our customers to us, we will always be...True Blue.

Where we go from here...

For as long as I can, I will continue to serve the Johnson County, Miami county, and surrounding areas with the utmost principles behind the name Blue Cord Dumpster Rental along side my grandson (who can't drive...yet) AND who sometimes loves to ride with me and help where he can.
